At their best, workshops teach new skills and help us apply them to our work, erasing the gap between the classroom and your real-life situation. They also give us new a language and way to approach a situation that had seemed intractable. All the workshops below deliver on these expectations.

During the workshop, participants try out new behaviors and receive on-the-spot coaching. This combination shave years from their learning curve. After the workshop, you’ll see and hear results such as: shorter, more action-focused meetings and more peaceful relationships at work.
Structure
After we agree that one of these workshops is right for your situation, we’ll plan how to make the workshop mirror your situation most closely. This is what helps close the gap between the classroom and the board room.

Collaborative Meetings: Achieve extraordinary group results, on time, every time. Learn to master meeting design, preparation and the tricky situations common to all meetings. You *can* be at ease in a group. (One participant claims he met his wife because of his masterful facilitation. Your mileage may vary.)
This interactive workshop is available in half-day to 3-day formats. Longer formats add video feedback and include more practice and on-the-spot coaching.
Consulting Skills: Bringing Our Authentic Selves Forward Professionals and knowledge workers *are* consultants, they just don’t know it yet. Instead they are trapped in the role of individual contributor or promoted to manager where their best gets lost.
Consultants work differently, think differently, and know how to contribute the full value of their expertise in every interaction, and without creating resistance to their ideas. This workshop includes case studies written for you, practice, coaching and a binder full of the best materials I’ve seen.

Building Your Internal Consulting Practice
This 1-2 day workshop is designed for intact groups ready to make the leap from order-taker to consulting partner. Using the best practices of other internals consulting groups, participants craft a description of services, decide what they’ll say yes and no to, and agree on a common approach to clients.
Masterful Consulting is a combination program that includes Consulting Skills for all your consultants, an assessment and a 1-2 day Practice-Building workshop with several Case-style follow-ups for your groups. Individual coaching is available, if desired.
The Collaborative Manager: How to involve others without losing control Being promoted to manager is more than a new title: it’s a new career. In today’s flatter organizations, the command and control model is obsolete. Team interviewing, delegating, coaching, managing for high-performance are some of the topics covered. This 3-day skill-building workshop can be delivered in half-day modules, a day at a time, or in a 3-day block.
Exploring Type: Introducing the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) This half-day workshop teaches the language of the MBTI so your group members can apply it immediately to their interactions. The MBTI gives teams an inclusive, accepting language for their differences that breaks down barriers. Participants complete the inventory before the workshop, and leave with a solid understanding of type
Type Topics These half-day sessions apply the power and insight of type to common team bugaboos like communication, decision-making, problem-solving, conflict and work styles. These workshops are painless fun that will change the way your team interacts. You can multiply this effect by offering a series of topics.
Building the Resilient Team: A combination program customized for your team. This is for the team that needs to hit the ground running and keep accelerating. It builds the necessary foundation for long-term team performance in manageable chunks over 4-6 months.
My most successful programs include a team assessment, MBTI inventory, a daylong team-building session, individual coaching for all team members, team coaching and several half-day sessions that combine MBTI® Topics and skill-building.
It sounds expensive, but costs less than many 3-day team-building offsites, while delivering exponentially more value.
