I got a little distracted with the gay pride parade reference because it's not current, while the Al Gore part is. I'd love to know a starting point for when I do dare to "look at myself" -- how to look for the warmth in the eyes rather than the flaws, that is, what I can offer instead of what I think others do better than me.
