		<description>Hi Tom - &quot;poised for polarization&quot; is intriguing.  It&#039;s never struck me that way, but I suspect you&#039;re right:  It&#039;s a bad habit we need to break.  I always figure it this way:  I&#039;m gong to be conveying my confusion, irritation, etc., so I may as well just name it.  At least that way I&#039;ll be able to make sure it&#039;s not misinterpreted.  

I want to meet Martha! - I&#039;ll call you the next time I know I&#039;ll be in Palo Alto.
